About a year ago I put ‘The Campfire Headphase’ by Boards of Canada on my play list and began listen to it but after a few tracks I just couldn’t get into the music and removed it from iTunes and forgot about it. Last night after I finished watching ‘The Fountain’ I felt the need to write, but I just couldn’t take the stifling silence, and nothing in my iTunes would do. Sometimes I feel like we use music to drown out all the thoughts in our head, usually when I get in moods like this I go on late night walks, my legs need to be moving and my mind needs to be able to follow any tangent that comes up without the distractions of noise and lyrics. But last night I also felt the need to write, and I remembered The Boards of Canada, so I played ‘The Campfire Headphase’ and it was everything I need.
